Fucccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
I just saw Aaron. Like 10 minutes ago. This is the worst feeling I've had in a long time. My stomach dropped. My whole body tensed up. Like a defense. Like how you feel right before a car wreck when you know there's nothing you can do about it.
Conversation was mechanical. Not even the how are you bull shit. Just me rambling. But in this cold way underneath. I was short and unfriendly. I wasn't happy to see him.
Why should I have been? It's impossible to pretend someone doesn't exist when they're standing right in front of you.
And I had begun to do that. I had begun to accept things months ago. I stopped the phone calls. I gave up hope on being friends. Decided that if there could be five years between our meetings I wouldn't have to worry about seeing him for a long, long time. We travel in different circles. We frequent different bars. The beauty of Houston. How you can lead a small life in such a big city. And cut others out by just arranging a few small pieces, if needed.
What am I going to do with this information? The information being that he still has the ability to break my heart with just one glance.
Off to class. Fuck.
